Resources

The Resources section of our website will serve as an evolving library of information and tools to help researchers adopt better research practices. Our aim is to provide practical guidance and reference materials that make it easier to do high-quality, transparent science. Key resources will include:

Guides & Best Practices

Curated guides on reproducible research methods, experimental design, and data analysis. We’ll compile checklists and best-practice documents (for example, how to pre-register studies, how to document workflows, or how to apply version control) from authoritative sources. These guides will be tailored to the Georgian research community and updated as global standards evolve.

Open Science & FAIR Data Resources

Explanations of Open Science principles and step-by-step advice on implementing them. We will highlight the FAIR data principles – ensuring data is Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable – and link to helpful materials on managing and sharing research data in line with these principles . Expect to find tutorials on using open data repositories, licensing your data for reuse, and making your work more discoverable.

Training Materials

Access to workshops, tutorials, and seminar recordings focused on research integrity. As GeoRN organizes training sessions (both in-person and virtual), we will share slides, handouts, and video recordings here for anyone to use. We also plan to link out to high-quality external training content (for instance, UKRN’s online courses and webinar series on open research practices ) so that Georgian researchers can benefit from established educational programs.

Tools & Platforms

Information on software and platforms that facilitate reproducible work. This might include recommendations for data analysis tools that enhance transparency (e.g., Jupyter notebooks, R Markdown), version control systems (like Git), reference managers, and other digital tools for collaboration. We will provide short descriptions and links to these resources, lowering the barrier for researchers to integrate them into their workflows.

Research and Case Studies

A collection of articles, case studies, and success stories that illustrate the importance of reproducibility and open science. Users can read about international and local examples of how robust research practices have improved outcomes or solved problems. We will also share key publications on meta-research (“research on research”) to keep our community informed about the latest findings on issues like the reproducibility crisis, bias in science, and effective interventions.

All these resources are meant to support our members and the broader scientific community in Georgia. Whether you are new to these concepts or looking to deepen your practice, the Resources section will be a living repository to consult for guidance, training, and inspiration on your journey toward more reproducible, open, and FAIR research.
